Heat Off of Head-Unit

I recently noticed that the lower part of my TSX-Navi head unit ( the screen and radio) just beneath the volume controls and numbers heats up quite a bit after the car has only been on for a short while. Is this heatin up normal, does everybody else get this?

Haven't noticed that but I'll pay close attention........BTW, is it enough heat that a person might notice it while manually adjusting any of the controls or is something that needs to be felt for?

I can sort of feel it when I am shifting gears, but more so obviously when I touch the unit.

All the more reason not to use those stick-on CD labels if you burn your own CDs. In the heat that is generated those labels could easily peel off inside the HD and really gum up the works.

Thanx for that last reply because I actually just brought all of my cd's into my house out of my car because I was about to label them, but I never even thought about the labels melting off. Thanx alot, I really appreciate it!

You're welcome. It was mentioned in a thread a few months ago. All my burned CDs that I play in the car are now just labeled with a pemanent ink Sharpie. CD-Rs are so cheap that I just burn an extra copy and keep it in the car.
