Head Unit Suggestions

Looking to replace the head unit in my 04 RSX. I have been away from the audio scene for way too long to know what is out there. I am looking for something that will EASILY allow me to play my ipod, can play a minimum of 1 CD, and provides bluetooth capability for telephones. Nav would be nice, but its not a necessity. Any suggestions are appreciated!!

Moved to the AV section where you should get more input, personally I'm a pioneer head unit fan through and through, but different people have different needs and tastes

Are you looking for a screen or just a single din hu? If you don't mind sacrificing the screen, I'd suggest a Kenwood X993/994. The 993 is last years model and the 994 is this years. Great bluetooth (I'm running the x993 in my DD celica), has great features for adjusting SQ (EQ leaves a bit to be desired but the crossovers and everything are awesome), and plays USB (Ipod) CD radio etc.

I've heard bad things about the new Pio Avic's if you're looking for a screen, but I'd stay with Kenwood. Again, just my 2 cents. I've had 3 kenwood decks now, and loved all of them...

A budget would be highly helpful here. How much do you want to spend?

Need new head unit

I have a 03 TL and the CD player is broke. I have 6 CD's in the changer. Anyone have this kind of problem before and any recommendation on fixes appreciated? Would you all try to find another OEM head unit? Also, I have seen the other units installed but was wondering how the faceplate would integrate with the dash?

I have the 3200DVD (wanted front connections and larger buttons than the 4200), and I love it as well. As long as you plan ahead and wire accordingly (relays ...a couple of them), you can't go wrong.

my 3200 integrates perfectly, I'm sure the 4200 does as well. Honestly with the right dash kit (the painted one), it looks stock-ish.

I've got an alpine INA-W900 and the iPod feature is apparently the fastest one on the market. I'm in love that's all i gotta say

Kdc-mp745u

I ended up getting a Kenwood KDC-MP745U. Wanted to keep the stock look and preferred something with a direct connection to my iPOD and the ability to control the ipod from the head unit (and keep the iPOD in my glove box full time). For $200, this seemed like the best option.

If you do this, do a write-up please with step by step. I've always wanted to do this. Here in Mexico, theft is rampant. I had two really wonderful amps stolen from my Opel in broad daylight at a Walmart. Hybrid tube/solid state amps made by Planet Audio. They had such a warm sound.
