head unit help

i have a 1998 tl, an old woman owned it and its in perfect shape aside from a few known tl issues. i also got a complete system for the car, ( head unit, door and rear deck components, sub and amp.) i was going to pay to have it all put in but now im doing it on my own, i have the components done already but im wondering if theres a good spot to snake the amp wire through my firewall? and also if anyone has any tips for when i start ripping my dash apart to install the radio. thanks alot. be brief i dont want any info i dont need. thankyou.

Alright for the radio remove the "wood grain" be careful it will break. There are clips that hold them in. After you remove that you will see 4 screws that hold the radio in. Unscrew those and your radio will be free. For the amp the driver's side just take out the kick plates and you can snake it to the trunk.

Dunno if there is already a hole in firewall you can use. I was lazy to look for so I just drilled another one. Good luck with radio install. BTW you can buy a radio install kit at bestbuy, its easier that way.

you shouldn't have to drill for the power wire, I belive i put mine through one of the plugged holes already in the firewall, not sure which one, I'll look and repost again.

one more question. if anyone out there put door speakers in, did you have to remove the entire panel or did you just pop off the speaker covers?

I have components in mine took off the whole door, It's only 2 screws and it pops right off, alot easier to work with the panel off.

You need to remove the panel. There are 2 screws one in the upper door handle and one if the lower door handle.
