So I installed two Alpine S series 10 inch subwoofers along with a 1000watt Boss amp to my 2001 cl-s.


Literally an hour after finishing the project, I was cruising around with a friend listening to the new bass and out of no where my dash lights, clock, power locks, and my running lights (head&tail) went out... I checked the ground wire in my trunk from the amp and it seems well grounded. My fuses are all good as well as my bulbs. So I'm guessing its a multiplex problem? I'm not sure...

This wasn't my first time hooking up a car with some subwoofers, but my first time with an Acura. I'm not sure where I went wrong. Does anyone have some helpful advice for me?

 

did you check the fuses with a test light or probe, or did you just look at them because sometimes they look fine but can have a break that is impossible to see with the bare

 

also where did you get the remote turn on for the amp
is it the factory radio or an aftermarket

 

Not your first time hooking a car p with sub woofers. I cannot express how many times I have fixed installs done by people who have "installed systems before". Have it done by a pro and it will be fixed.

 

if factory radio, how did you tap the signals for the amp? did u use a LOC? where did u tap into?
