Hi there. Yeah, it was my tranny. I have about 26,500 miles now without any problems. Tranny is running smoothly. I have to admit though, every time the tranny hiccups around the 40-45 mph gear change I get a little scared.

My new project now is to gut out the crappy bose system and get some better sounding equipment.

Yeah, it's a shame that Acura does not offer a premium audio "upgrade". It's been hashed over 100 times in this forum, but the Maxima Bose blows away the TL Bose.

I am hoping that the '04 TL-S will have not only a good (and maybe manual) tranny, but improved tunes, regardless of the cost.

Glad to hear your replacement tranny is OK. I am at 44,000 miles on the car, and the replacement tranny is holding up fine.

Knock on "bowling ball trim"...
