Here's my box. I think it came out pretty damn good. Still need to screw in the top and do the front baffle and bracing. But all in all it came out damn good IMO. 4 cuft tuned to 30 hz.

Thanks guys

ou sig,

Yeah, I'm gonna put lots of dampening throughout the whole car. Twice over if I have to. I'll start with the trunk rear deck and take it from there.

MOMOTL,

Actually they are made for SQL but many have SPL set ups with these.

Let us know how you like the Kenwood headunit. Saw it in the Crutchfield catalog and was wondering if any members have it installed.

correct and it can get much louder. I lot of those who owned both of these subs actually prefer the SQ of the XXX over a W7 believe it or not. I recently heard a couple W7's so I'll be able to give a good comparison once my sytem is installed.

...on par. rrrrrrrriiiiiiiigghht. That box sure looked familiar! As does the aluminum cage. So the Brahma and the XXX are indeed coming from the same folk. (I have the Brahma)

Yours is clearly prettier than the brahma. I also like the inverse center cup.

The amps are gorgeous!

I have a good friend who sat down in my car yesterday and said, "white boys are not supposed to have that much bass!"

Thanks man.

While those subs are very simialr they are not built by the same people. Adire makes Brahma and Resonant Engineering makes the XXX. What kinda amp do you have for your Brahma. I heard great things about the infamous Brahma.

I love the sub. I was going for jl, but i've heard nothing but good things about the XXX. Did you get the specs for the box directly from reaudio? I wonder if I should go with one XXX15 or 2 xxx12's. Let us know how it sounds. Does the box take up all the trunk space?

Smiley,

The box specs weren't from RE but they were approved by RE. This box was better suited for my car compared to the one on their site. The box doesn't take up all the trunk space. I have all of the space in front of where the trunk is latched onto the car and some space on the sides of the box, but I'm building a bezzel so you really won't be able to use the space on the sides.

2-12" would be insane but remember you will need a ton of power to push them. Probably around 3000 watts, 1500 into each sub. And you will need to upgrade your electrical system.

Brian,

Yeah, I'm eager to hear it as well. I was trying to do the trunk myself but I just don't have the time. Trying to work on my house and build a new business doesn't leave too much time for my car, so I think I'm gonna get everything hooked up this weekend, I'll just dampen everything, have the bax carpeted and throw it in the trunk, I'll worry about making a custom trunk next year.

Hopefully I'll have a review up by monday. I've heard a 10" and a 12" W7 before and they both sounded great but I'll put it this way, I know plenty of people that have dumped their W7 for an XXX but never heard of someone dumping an XXX for a W7. The XXX can just out perform the W7 and sound awesome doing it.

I'll check back in with install pics and review.
