Where did you get your LEDs? Is it a direct swap for the factory?

You must have been really bored to change out all the LEDs in the dash. Looks great!!

ya I'd love to change the way our dash lights up... it's so dull. Driving the TSX loaner I had showed what 2-3 years of acura design/development had implemented.

i just had them laying around

they are 3mm leds since 5mm leds would be too big

So any white 3mm LED would work? How would I know what color they are ie bright white like yours or a dull yellow like stock?

make sure they are super white 3mm leds, also make sure u get the right resistors 00 ohm or something like that, otherwise the leds will just die after a few minutes

rbf351,
props for the effort .
I think you should use wide angle LEDs to get rid of "hot spots" and you should use higher resistance since 00 ohm is basically nothing. It will be a pain to take all that out to replace the LEDs.

no sure why it came out ;ike that in the pics, cause in person there are no hot spots

the only place i had really any hot spots was the navi screen, which i fixed last night cause the resistors i used were crap. u can make your own wide angle leds like i did, all u do is chop off the top and sand it down flat, make the light shine evenly, which is why the radio has no hotspots atall

i had, but removed it after a few days, then replaced it with a self made computer, then with a plain old dvd player that hooks into the navi system

maybe 25 bucks, there is a guy on ebay thats selling a bag of 100 with resistors and free shipping, not sure if he has anything else besides white

i also got myself some SMT leds so i can try and do the spedo, tach, temp and gas gauges. all i know is the leds are freakin tiny, and not sure if i can solder something that small

thats the actual size of them

I saw it done on a TL before. randomwalk101 and I were talking about doing it. I was working on my sound system so I passed. randomwalk101 moved on and changed the clock and cluster. Instead of while, he used blue and it came out not to my liking so I stopped thinking about it. Besides, I didn't wanna drive around a couple of weeks in a stolen-car-look-alike

Anyway, if someone could step up and do it, much props for you
