Got the basslink .....

Got the basslink new on ebay for 199.00 plus shipping (225.00) I'm going to get it installed today at my stereo shop. Question, the stereo shop said I need sub out's for my stock system, is this true?

No. Have them either splice a pair of RCA connectors into the signal coming from the head unit(before it goes to the amp), or use a line output converter(splices into the rear 6X9's then converts the signal to RCA's, or have them use the speaker level inputs of the BassLink. The instructions tell how to connect them. It's easier & cleaner to just splice the RCA cable in. The output from the head unit is already line level, & you will get no noise.

If you need to know the wire color code, check the link in my sig and go to sound template. Good luck.

Well the basslink is now installed, let me tell you I'm very impressed. I have my local stereo shop do the install for $65.00 , they did a nice job, they mounted it all the way to the back/left part of the trunk, they said it sounded best in that spot. It's not like my previous JL setup but it's enough, if you are looking to add some noticable bass but don't want to break windows, this is the best route to take. The whole think cost me $290.00 , not bad at all

I'm not up to date w/ car stereo stuff. So what's a basslink guys? I have 3 8w6 from my Accord w/ a RF 800 amp that I might consider moving to the CL. How can I do this? I'm sure there will be lots of rattling from the trun if I do so what's the best way to get rid of the new rattling?

Thanks!!

basslink is a 10"sub/200watt amp combo. It very cheap, neat and compact , it's everything you need rolled in one clean package. The basslink retails for something like 499.00, I got a new one off of ebay for 225.oo shipped., then paid 65.oo to have it installed. Go to infinity.com or ebay and search for "basslink" to get more info. I love the thing, sounds like (2) 10" subs, I was very suprised. It not that much different from my old Silverado truck, I had a JL stealthbox in it w/ (1) 12" W3.
