dnd2984.....I think when we discussed before, your Type R's in the door were the blue cone, is that right? Are your new ones the blue cone or the new silver cone like I had? I really hated not being able to use mine. If I would have known what I was doing making the kicks, they might have turned out ok. I just hated giving up all the legroom and then, on top of that, not sounding like I wanted.

I got another project done yesterday. I have the Image Dynamics 5 1/4" Chameleons finished in my doors. I ran wire to the back for the amp and I carpeted my amp board. I finally found sound carpet that was pretty close match. It looks good. I am going to post some pics to my website pretty soon. The only thing left is making a new box for the Kicker sub. At least, that is the only thing left till I change my mind and want something different.

Yep blue cones they where the early 02 and late 01 models. They sound the same though. How much legroom did u loose though. Mine are gonna be done by the sudio place and I want then to use least amout of space. But how much mid basss did u gain with the kick panels. I heard a pair of kick they did with the same speakers I have and the midbass was so damn awesome. Also my kicks are gonna be in further than your. I noticed yours where right by the fuel door release.

With the speakers as big as the Alpine, it was hard to find a good spot that did not interfere with the brake pedal and yet, did not take up much room. The midbass is awesome because you almost have a small sealed enclosure. With my kicks, you could not put both feet forward unless they were touching each other. It just did not work like I wanted it to.

Well now I am gonna get some Kicker Resolution tweeters installed in the side sails on doors. And I am also thinking about adding the Midbass woofer to on the rear shelf. So i dont have to have my sub on all the time unless my windows are down.
