Fi definitely makes some nice gear, so might be a good idea for someone looking for a big sub. If you've got space for the enclosure, I'd say jump on it. This would probably be one of the best 18s for the money...

Meh... If you're looking for SQ, why you feeding a sub 1-2kw+? And my buddy had an 18" BTL in like 4.5 cubes, tuned at 33hz, and it sounded pretty good. He's running 2 18" Omegas now, and they're sick. Soon, he's talking about upping the subs again, and likely more than doubling the power... It'll be pretty interesting...

sounds about right too me.
Matt I've been thinking about dumping all my subs and a couple laying around to get a pair of sick 12's to put in my back seat and thats it.I know ,I know you told me before I can get loud and sound good from 2 12's before.Thats the route I think I'm going, but could use some advise. I want 2 12's that will handle 1600w rms @1ohm each that are capable of extream spl ,but will also sound good with daily music. Also if possible be able to have room in the power handling department in case I deceide to run bigger amps.
I was thinking about the orions d2's but I dont know how they sound and if theres room for amp growth

If you could get ahold of the old HCCA's, those would take plenty of power, and sound pretty good doing it. The problem is finding the old HCCA's. The new ones just aren't up to snuff with the OS Orion gear. None of the new Orion gear is anywhere near where the OS stuff was.

As for your new subs, I'd check out the following:
Cascade Omegas (will take up to ~2500 or so daily, depending on enclosure)
DC lvl 4's (stupid loud, with amazing customer service, but won't take much of an amp upgrade. If you go up to 2.5kw+ per sub, the lvl4 XL's would work well)

Those are the 2 I'd start with. I'd probably go with the Omega's, especially if they're anything like my buddy's 18s...

I could'nt find prices for the DC's and omega's were 389 and they say only 2000w rms, dothey handle more.Have you heard the lvl 4 xl's before, how cheap are they?

You're on CACO. PM Rusty. He's a vendor over there for prices on either the lvl 4's or lvl 4 xls... As for the Omegas, they'll handle more. Alex said they'll take about 3300 daily, if your enclosure is right... Pioneer~Saturn (Doug) from CACO lives about 40 minutes from me, and he's running a XXX-10k to 2 18s. That's probably around 5500-6kw to 2 of the omegas... They do alright, but they get warm after like 5-6 songs full tilt. As for the XL's, most people run 3k+ to each, so don't think that just because you're over a subs rated power that they're not going to work... Hell, AQ rates their HDC3's at 1kw rms, but there are guys putting 3-4k+ to them for burps, and they take it no problem...

3 more questions,Is there any one 12" that will handle my 3200w daily.
Have you seen the RF team 12's before? and what are they worth?

Those Team RF's are no joke. Serious subs for sure. I dunno about power handling, but I'd assume it's crazy high, especially for burps. But if you have one, you should just give it to me, they're not worth much...

Single 12 that'll take 3200 daily? There's quite a few, but they won't sound all that great... Your best bet with that much power would be something like a DC lvl 5 maybe a lvl4 xl, AA Mayhem, RD HW, Fi BTL Fully Loaded. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head, if I think of more, I'll post them...

did you come across this or is this your auction?

The wording is the same word for word as your post in the BM section.

This is a Fi BL 18 that was custom made for my application.
The sub is 1000wrms before upgrades. Now it is upgraded to handle 1600wrms +.
The sub is dual 1ohm. Fi rates it at .7ohms per coil.
If you know about Fi car audio, there is nothing else I need to say.
If you dont know about Fi car audio then do a couple searches on youtube
and discover that this is one of the top brands out there. There will be no disappointments.
The sub is flawless, perfect in looks and performance, and always was powered with clean unclipped signal.
I use a soda can for comparison in the pictures so you can get a idea of the size of this subwoofer.
I have this listed other places as well, but I will update if it sells.
I want 285 + shipping. The sub goes for 385+shipping.

Any question PM or ask in the thred.
No response will go unanswered.

I'm far from an sq guy. i just like my subs to be a bit accurate..btl's don't sound too great on rock and jazz.

I'll give you that for sure. Another great thing about Fi's "Fully Loaded" option, is that with it, the BL can handle as much as a stock BTL, and will sound better doing it.

And I find myself turning into an SQ guy, but I still like to be loud as hell every now and then. So for my rebuild, I'm looking at either 4 8s or 2 10s. If I can afford them, possibly AudioPulse.

I didn't tell you that you could start a whole thread for your ebay link to the stuff you are selling in the Black Market, which is expressly prohibited by the Black Market Rules, which I suggest you read.

I removed the link from your first post.
