Franz Ferdinand Dualdisc not working in TL?
I picked up the dualdisc version of Franz Ferdinand - You Could Have It So Much Better, but when I pop it in (DVD side up) my 2004 Acura TL, it won't recognize the disc, and so, won't play in surround sound mode.
I've never had any issues with Dualdiscs in the past.
Has anybody else encountered ths problem with this disc? Has anyone had any problems with any other dualdiscs?

I'm not sure if this is the reason.. but...
Franz Ferdinand is on the Epic label, which is owned by Sony. Since Sony makes the SACD to complete with DVD-A, when they make a DualDisc, they use "16-bit, 48 kHz sampled LPCM stereophonic" instead of the normal DVD-A format which is 24bit. Perhaps the TL player only recognized the 24bit versions?

Another reason is Sony/BMG and their affiliates opted for DVD-V on the flipside of the DualDisc to get a piece of the action. They would prefer to keep SACD as their hi-rez format enabling to compete with DVD-A just to get more of the pie.
