a friend of mine is looking to buy a video monitor for his durango. he's been looking at these 3 brands.

anybody know anything about these brands? which is the one to get?

IMO, dont go the cheap route...i just purchased a clarion HU, off ebay with a BOSS DVD player, the DVD skips every 5 seconds, while the HU is beautiful...its worth the extra money for brand names such as alpine/pioneer/clarion/kenwood...panasonic/jvd/sony is a bit cheaper but good quality as well

 

Dont buy pyle-pyle is pile of crap. I dont even recognize the other two brands if that means anything.

 

The only cheaper brand that's any good is Audiovox. They actually have some decent stuff. Otherwise, stick to the big brands.

 

i work with this stuff all day long and i wouldnt go with those, dei ( viper alarms) makes packages which are real nice, other great brands are icon , accelle is good too. i just wouldnt go cheap cause you deffinatly get what u pay for with video systems
