In Laymen's terms, it's an auxiliary RCA input jack to your stereo system. It's like the red and white inputs you have in your home stereo. You can plug in anything, from video sound, MP3 player, or anything else you want to plug into. The way it connects to your stereo is through a CD changer input that exists on all Acura radios.

I am getting a PIONEER XM GEX-FM903XM RF Modulated unit for my car, and will this hook in through your new method with your adapter? I tried hitting CD twice on my car, just to see if it would do anything, but nothing happened. I dunno if this has RCA outputs, but if not guess RF is the way to go then . Let me know. Thanks.

Yes, you can install it yourself. It is basically a plug that will fit into the back of your stock deck!!! TypeSDragoon has one and showed it to me. He said he did NOT take the deck out to install it. All he did was take one of the side panels off and reached around the back of the deck and plugged it in!!!! I will be ordering mine after the Holidays are over.

If I were you, I would NOT get a modulated player!!!! Modulation sounds like shiet!!!!!!!! If you hit the CD button on your stock deck and this adaptor is NOT plugged into the back, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN!!!! You need this adaptor plugged into the back for second CD to come up!!!!!! I have seen it work in person, and the sound is WAY BETTER than modulation!!!!! TypeSDragoon had his PS2 hooked up via modulation and then he put this adaptor in!!! NO COMPARISON!!!!!

Ok, little confused here. Can you get a nonmodulated XM unit then and use this adaptor to get clearer sound?

To hook up XM there isn't really another way except replace the deck. I talked to Street Effects and they actually have a adapter for the XM unit to attach into the same port. Not the same adapter you guys use. So I will be looking inot that. It's a bit more expensive than this adapter.

cheif. ANYTHING with composite audio outputs (the red and white RCA jacks) can use the BlitzSafe adapter.

There are XM radio receivers with RCA outputs.

I would ask Ron at StreetEffects that question.

Yup, blitz makes adapters for both pioneer and alpine XM units, and we do sell both I believe they are in the $106 area each, and they work great

Will this work with the Delphi SkyFi XM reciever? It has a line-out and a cable with R-L RCA plugs that you can connect to your home system. This would be SO much better than a cassette adapter or FM modulation!

I am currently using this Blitzsafe adapter and it works great. I have the Alpine XMA-T200RF (FM Modulated setup) and have connected RCA's from the FM modulated piece to the Blitzsafe adapter and now I have CD quality using my factory deck and without having to tap in through the antenna. XM kicks ass!!!

I was originally going to go with Kenwood Sirius Radio but the Kenwood did not have any RCA outputs. I know the Alpine one does as well as the Pioneer I think.
