Ive been reading all the threads on this subject and cannot get a specific answer to my question..... I am replacing the stock HU with an alpine cda 9835, and i am going to add a separate amp and subs via rca's later. My problem is, i want the stock sub to work when i install the alpine cd player. I am getting confised with all the write-ups on the eq bypass and such. If someone could tell me, what wires to i splice into on the 12 pin harness to make the stock sub work. Where do the wires on the 12 pin harness that i splice into go on the 20 pin harness? If someone can please give me some info on this it would be greatly appreciated...

no worries, your stock sub will still work when you replace your HU

 

if your sound system is like my fathers 03 TL, you can easily make the factory sub work, but it will need a pre-amp signal (and other power and turn-on signal). it is easy to find wich wire you need to tap into with wiring diagrams
