Factory Speaker Upgrade

I have a 2008 Tsx w/ navi and I'm looking to upgrade the stock speakers without replacing the factory amp. I've looked on Crutchfield, Circuit City, and Best Buy and the more I look the more confused I get because some sites say a certain pair of speakers will fit and on another site it says they won't fit.

To make matters worse, I went to Best Buy and the salesman was trying to tell me they would have to get a tech to look at my factory amp because they might have to rewire my system because it wouldn't be compatible with their speakers. After he said this I just left the store because I was pretty confident they were just trying to make a quick buck off of me.

So, I guess my question is what would you recommend I do to upgrade my speakers? What speakers have you put in your tsx that work well? I don't really feel comfortable installing door speakers myself because I don't want to mess up the door panels so I'm thinking of getting that done at Circuit City, as they didnt feed me any b/s about a rewire. I can do the ones on the rear deck though.

Have a look here:

On page 3, I added some info that may help you if you're new to this (I was). Walks you through all the parts you'll need, and earlier in the thread are good descriptions to removed your door panels. You can absolutely do this yourself - do NOT pay for it. You don't need any rewiring. You need new speakers, spacers, and wire adapters (all in my post). I had never done anything like this before, and I got through it just fine. I've removed my doors 3 times now for various reasons - it's really not as bad as it may seem.

I can't see why any 6" won't work in the doors. I used Infiniti 6012i (I think 6022i is the newer model) and all I needed were the spacers to make them fit. I have an 06 BTW... I did not do thie 6x9 in the back, but really upgrading the four 6" in the doors makes a huge difference, and you do NOT need to fuss with your stock amp.

I ended up going to Audio Express for my speaker upgrades. Boston Acoustics in the front and a Bazooka Subwoofer.
