Factory CD changer swap question...

Okay... recently upgraded to a double-din head unit. Old head unit (in-dash changer, no nav) worked perfectly upon removal and installation of the new one. Sold the old one to an AZ member, and when he received it, it didn't work. Gave an error message, indicating that there were still discs in the head unit. Which there aren't - I emptied it at the shop when I dropped it off.

This was going from an '03 TL type-s into an older non-s TL.

I've read enough threads on here to know it should theoretically work. Any ideas??

It probably got fooked in shipping. That deck should work in that car. That happened to me also. I shipped an Alpine CD changer accross the U.S.. It worked awesome in my car. But when the buyer got it... no workie. It's pretty common. I install a good 10 CD players a day. You'd be surprised how many players don't work straight out of the box.

Take it as a loss.

I'd like to see your double din dash kit with your new screen.
