Factory Bose Re-install
I'm putting my factory Bose system back in. Everything looked simple enough...I disconnected the Pioneer head unit and wiring harness from the factory wiring harness and installed all the original speakers back in.
For some reason the rear 6x9's do not produce any sound. I have no idea why! I thought I put everything back as-is. Is there a difference between L and R with the Bose 6x9's? It's the only thing that I can think of.
I do not believe that the installers spliced into any factory wiring when the originally installed the after market system...it seemed like all they used was a wiring harness. What gives?

I don't think a "modulator" was used. They installed a wiring harness that attached from the Pioneer head unit to the factory wiring. RCA cables were run directly to the amps. The only splicing that was done, was done at the wiring harness so that the wires from the amp could tap into the factory wiring to the door speakers. The rear 6x9's were run directly from the amp to the speaker.

The reason is because the 6x9's are 4 ohms and the Bose radio puts out 8ohms . Meaning that the Bose radio must work twice as hard to produce the same sound as the pioneer . All Bose components are 8ohms and almost all aftermarket radios are 4ohms .

Ant7701,
Are you sure Bose components are 8 Ohm? I heard they have lower impedance than aftermarket (2 Ohm). Besides, the radio is not Bose. It's made by Pioneer.
Iced_teal,
I'd like to suggest testing the 6x9s to see if they are still working. If they are, test the outputs of stock head unit or amp (if equipped). If everything works, the wires must be cut somewhere.
