Face plate template

Hi,

Does anyone have a template to make a new faceplace for a 1-DIN sized HU?

I have a 2001 CL/S, but I am pretty sure that is the same as a 2001/TL.

Also, does anyone know of a company making an install kit for that car?

Thanks...Michael

Silverknight, I'm actually looking for a dash trim made of the black plastic, rather than the aluminum or carbon fiber for a 2 din head units, and also do you know of a wiring harness for aftermarket head units to plug straight into the bose harness?

As far as I know, no company make the dash kit for our CL (mass production). I saw several customized faceplates so far. IMO, the single DIN looks pretty weird due to the double din opening. Got to find something to put in.

ZmmZmm, I did it ... took several attempts.

Aegean CL-S, the wiring harness (behind the dash) is the same for previous year. I had it on my car. You can always use black material to custome make. The only problem is finding a person to do it.

Got a question, why dont we deal with the issue at our home (acura-cl.com)????

I paid $27 for the piece...but I might end up paying more soon... the guy did the job for me left while he was making the cut for me...but I'll go again Tuesday. I'll probably get another color too...

I'll repost again here then...

Yee, how did you mount the head units in there? with the existing bracket or with a supplied bracket? I've been looking for someone to custom cut a double din dash kit

I have mine mounted off the factory brackets, however I'm going to make a new housing so I can mount everything flush.

Silverknight, so the wiring harness is the same as the 96-2000 CL? didn't know they had a BOSE system too.

our stock Pioneer headunit is actually a double din (Ron told me that), so the existing bracket works.

I used a transparency and cut the exact size of the face place, and brought it to a pastic shop and had it laser cut.

I'm still working on to figuring out which color to use for the face plate...the one I have now are made of ABS...don't really like this one...so...I should be able to give you guys a full report within next week.

mr. tl - thanks! I really like it too.

It's not for Bose system, it's for Honda audio wiring harness. And Honda wiring harness has nothing to do with Bose or anything else in that matter.

yee, are you sure Ron told you the stock HU is Alpine? Isn't the same as the one in my CL? If it is, it's a Pioneer as clearly printed on the label.
