Excursion door panel pod pictures!

Customer supplied the 3 way MTX setup and insisted we put the 8's in the doors with the other speakers but didn't want it molded INTO the door. We also routed, notched, and frosted some 3/4" plexiglass trim rings for the woofer and mid to make it more asthetically appealing since they come with nothing.

That's hysterical. Very nice work, but a crazy customer. I think everytime somebody gets in and closes the door they're gonna get hit in the leg!

are u glassing the new panel mounted to the door?? if not how are you going to keep it all from warping?? I had that problem when I did a 04 SVT focus, thought we took the precautions for the new panel to fit on the door just right but it still warped enough to need to install some anchors through the door panel, just a thought...

The form was made ON the factory door - you have to do a few layers of mat, but add less liquid hardener in your resin and let it take longer to dry - before you remove it from the factory panel, you need to make your supports, OR, lay it up with some reinforced body filler so it doesn't warp - look at the last page or so of pics, they are finished and you see they did not warp

i guess the owner really wanted to have some bass up front he could've asked for a sub in the footwell or something similar. then maybe the door panels would've looked normal.

but nice work on the panels. if i was in jerz i'd definately have ya'll do some kicks for my durango.

That's some damn good work but I think you have some customers.
