Enter Code dispalyed on radio ???????

I started my CL today and the radion displays " code " I read the manual and it say's if you disconnect the battery, your radio will prompt for a code. I NEVER disconnected but anyways, I bought my CL used from a dealer and do not have the code, Does anyone know how I can obtain the code ? I have the serial number.

Thanks

have serial number, call an acura dealership and give it to them, they'll provide the code. i thought that would be simple.

i'd check fuses, did your clock reset too? i had a problem with my CL were it blew a fuse, i can't recal which one and it would reset the radio everything i turn the car on and off, it would also reset the clock.

You can try looking on the side of the glove box - open it and see if you see any stickers on the outside of the left side of the glove box - I think that's the default place for dealers to stick the code in... you should see a white strip with numbers when you open the glove box from the driver's seat. If you don't see it then call the dealership.

Welcome to the forums.

You can go to Acura Owners Link and register your vehicle and it should give you the radio code.

I'm not sure how this works with a second owner. If the first owner didn't register it might work, but if it doesn't you might have to either call Acura Customer Service or the dealer to find out how to register.

If the code isn't stuck on the glove box, look under the ashtray or even the outside fuse box or the inside fuse box, or wherever else you can think of to find it. Otherwise the radio will have to be removed which may not be an easy job.

/\ if he already has the serial all he has to do is call a dealer, they'll give him the code!

Thanks. I missed that part, so it should be easier to get the code.
