Does anyone know what DVD player will fit in the space under the 04-05 TL radio

basically i want to put the DVD player in the top pocket and still be able close the pocket when the DVD is playing, right now i have it in my glove box because it's way to big to fit in there.

it seems like the width of the pocket is about the size of a DVD at it's largest point

 

same question with the 04 tsx....anyone?
will a standard 7" unit fit in the slot under the factory unit or do i need a 61/2"?
i dont want to remove the cover/flip close thingy but i am willing to dust off the dremel if anyone has completed this before (successfully)

 

It would probably depending on the size of the screen and how big the outer casing is. I will just remove the storage bin and measure it. And then try to find a screen within those specs.

 

i know i'm not looking for a screen, i'm just looking for a DVD drive with a/v outputs

 

Search good here. Someone posted pics of their system that they put into the top compartment box. Fit exactly and looked real clean.

 

if you are just looking for a small dvd player.. check out eclipse and myron and davis i know both make a 1/2 din dvd player..

 

For the TSX, I have the Honda IVES which fits perfectly in the CD storage bin.

 

is it possible to buy the dvd player w/out the rest of the system from honda/acura IVES?
Also, I am not looking for a screen either, just the dvd player w/ built in TV tuner that will fit in the storage bin. I saw the pic of a dvd player, looked like a pyle, but can't find the post to save my life - numerous searches have all ended up dead.

I think the IVES requires you to take out the compartment, i want to keep the cover so i can close it when not in use (or stay hidden).

 

Look into the Blaupunkt Me3. It has DVD, mp3, and TV tuner. One of the good things I've heard about the Me2/Me3 is that you can burn 4.7 gigs of mp3s on a DVD+R and the player will still play it!

that would be a nice drive, but nothing fits into the TL pockets, they are just too small. eventually i will custom make my drive fit in there.
