I have a 99 TL, Converted to DVD Navi....Yesterday I upgraded my Navi to 2013 maps (black), Put Dvd in, Downloaded all software, worked perfect on the way home from work...The next Day I get a "Dvd disc reading error, Incorrect dvd" So I remove and put back in, same thing, funny thing is...when this error reports, I can hit my A/C Button, then Map button and it works perfect....I just have to hit that every time I start the car to get to the maps (every 5th time or so, it actually works fine).....I went into diag screen and did a force download, did not help....Anyone ever seen this before after a Navi update? I have never seen this error before this one!

My 1999 TL has also been converted to DVD Nav courtesy of a wrecked 2000 Odyssey van. I did it in 2005, using a new 2005 Alpine DVD. Immediately after getting the 2013 "Black" DVD disk I started seeing the same "Incorrect Disk" error and going into the A/C mode, then back to Navi also cures the issue -- for the time being. I generally only get the error when the car is cold (under 60 degrees ambient).
