Drop down monitor in place of the dome lights?
Just curious if anyone has ever tried to do a flip down monitor from the roof instead of doing headrests...
or if its even possible. It seems to me that when sitting in the back seat, the headrest tvs are too close and a flip down would be ideal.
discuss.

Most flipdowns work best in SUV roofs... in sedan roofs the headrest monitors are my preference.
I didn't even like having a flipdown in my CR-V... took it out (didn't cut the headliner - screwed it to the D/L bracket to try it out: )

i think it would make more sense than headrests because the screen is more visible and relaxing on the eye instead of being right up in your face
plus if a TV flip down was right in the middle, it would light up the whole back of the coupe like christmas. I think it would be awesome.

This thread will do its part for your PWs... because you aren't making any sense to me at all.
First off, how is it more visible? More"relaxing"?
If it's "right up in your face" you must have a SERIOUS gangsta lean going.
Why would you want to look at a tv that's off center for more than 10 seconds? Wouldn't you get a crick in your neck?
And yes, you're right - large flipdowns do constitute bright distractions for other drivers.

I just started this thread to see if anyone did it. Didnt think I was PWin.
And if your taller than 5'9 then you automatically crush the people in your back seat.
Youd have to be sitting so close to the steering wheel that you would die if the airbag deployed for the screen to be at a comfortable distance in the back seet

i dont see a reason for any rear tv if you have a two door car unless its for show. its just way to small back there. what street did for that particular TL-S makes sense only b.c headrest tvs in that car would mean having to back fill the hole in the tl-s headrest. other then that im just not a fan of flip down tvs in a sedan just like el said. headrest tvs are the way to go
