Double Din Headunit options with factory navigation...

The factory HU is getting on my nerves with the CD magazine issue. I thought about replacing it, but want to see what others have come up with. Here are my thoughts.

1. I think 2 screens look stupid, nav & aftermarket screen (i.e. Pioneer D3)

2. I think single din looks pretty cheesy for a 2nd gen CL

3. My next option would be a i-pod interface. Do they make one that I can control through the factory headunit? Also, I already have XM hooked up with a blitzsafe. Would I need to get another, how would this install work?

Just feeling around for some ideas. Let me know your thoughts.

Hmm... You've come to the right place. I've installed many double din nav units in TL's that already had navi. I think it's damn sick. I love it. I make a double din kit that looks OEM with the AVIC-D3. Check out this thread for more infor on that....

Another great solution is a good iPod adapter like you were saying. DICE Electronics makes the best adapters for our TL. You can control the iPod with the deck and the steering wheel controls. For more info on that check out this thread...

Please let me know what questions you have.

2 screens is sweet. 3 is better.

If you're not crashing your car from information overload, you're not iced out enough.
I've done it
