TL: Does the DICE i-Honda-R2-5V work in the '03 TL?

Does the DICE i-Honda-R2-5V work in the '03 TL?
I bought the i-Honda-R2-5V ipod integration kit from DICE electronics, despite the conflicting information I saw out there on whether it will work with a 2003 TL or not.
After installing the kit I have an expensive iPod charger, i.e. I'm getting power to the kit and it will charge the iPod.
Has anyone installed the i-Honda-R2-5V into a second gen TL? Is there any trick for getting the radio to recognize the iPod adapter?
