Does Anyone Have SRS (airbag) Problems caused by electronics?

I had the SRS (airbag) lights come out and fixed 4 times...finally the fourth time they fixed it (they as in acura dealership...so its free under warrenty) they said that it was caused by my neon light tube, specifically by its transformer (tube located next to the middle cupbolders). They said that i cant put any electronics such as cell phones and neon light tubes near the seats or else if f's up the SRS system. Did anyone else have this problem...Is mine just really sensitive? Cuz i see a lot of TL's with neon tubes near their seats....

I think they are just bs'ing you....sounds like garbage to me. I can see maybe the transformer if it was wired to the power wire for the SRS system (could be drawing power for the neon from the SRS system), but i doubt it. who knows.....

yeah medicshane they repaired my seat belt harnes, reset my airbags...the dealership claimed to have done every possible thing to fix the srs problem...they said that the electric field that the transformer creates in the neon tube interferes with the seat SRS sensors which works on some type of radio frequency (according to the dealer)....when i got rid of the neon tube...no more srs problem...they said that it stated in the drivers manual that u cant put any electronics near or on the seats...i sorta skimmed through and didnt see anything on that topic....and who has time to read that big a$$ booklet
