Question to do a flush mount setup... ??? please help

I'm looking to do a flush mount screen in my dash, i personally like the way it looks better. if i were to do this, could i buy just the brain and cables from say.. an alpine CVA-1005 or Pioneer 7300AVX and attach it to a screen? If so, how would I listen to CD's, radio, etc? Thanks for the input.

i currently have a Kenwood KDC-X815 (CD/Tuner) with KMD-D400 (minidisc) as a double din setup.. bout 4 years old or so and I want to upgrade. If anyone is interested in buying, let me know. They are both in perfect condition.

well yes and no... you can easily put the pioneer avm-8000 or 9000 brain in your car and use the avd-6200 as the screen... but i do not think this would be possible with say the alpine system...

i see.. so, assuming it will work at all, pioneer is the way to go? i like them both, and i actually like the pioneer avx-7300 package a lot better in terms of looks (of the menus and stuff)

i'm just trying to figure out what to buy, and if it will be significantly cheaper to buy just a brain and just a monitor. i'm still wondering if i'll need a radio or tv tuner, cd player, etc? i'm not sure how this will work?

thanks again.

You can get the AVDW6000 or 8000 pioneer screens and hook them up to an 8000 or 9000 brain...this will function as a headunit, and all you need is a cd-changer or some sort of player for cd/dvds.

Here's an example we did in a BMW:
