Smile Difference in HID Bulbs

Since I was told that our TL's already come in HID lights. I was wondering what the difference is in buying the HIDXTRA's 6k D2R bulbs for $31 and Phillips 6k $129+shipping for my 00 TL. Lemme know what the $100 difference is and if its just worth it to just get the $31 HIDXTRA's.

Phillips is a name brand, that makes OEM bulbs for numerous car companies, and the bulbs come with a warranty. The cheaper bulbs most likely don't last as long, you get what you pay for

why are you buying it for 100 bucks. I have gotten a few set for like 50 shipped for both. Low hours on hidplanet.com

This is why you should buy OEM. The bulbs are design correctly that means the arc is where it should be. On some aftermarket they have really crappy quality control. Some of the bulbs are really off and some are perfect. Its a hit or miss. Also the aftermarket bulbs heat up a lot more then the OEM. About 20*F different.

here an example. This person was using some ebay 6000k bulbs *you can tell since the glass is tinted, most OEM aren't tinted* He was also using 55w which accelerated the damage

So is there any other comparison between the HIDextras for $30 which I haven't seen a single bad thing about or a Philips for $130+. There has to be some bigger difference in bulbs than "you get what you pay for"?
