Did i get ripped off?? what do you think?

I got priced $425 to have my system installed in my 2006 Acura TL

here are what they are installing.

JL Cleansweep
Alpine Amp Mrd-M501
Kicker Amp 4channel ZX.650
a/d/s 346cs 6.5 component speakers
Diamond Audio 6.5 Hi End Coaxial D661i speakers
2 12" l7 Kickers
I gave them all the wiring that they needed. (4gauge, rca cables, etc).

Did i get ripped off? They said they usually charge costumers 800 for this kind of work. What do you guys think? oh btw its a profesional shop

It depends on how they installed it. did they use fiberglass or any major custom work? Is the sub enclosure specially placed? Pictures would help.

sounds reasonable... i got quoted 500 for a head unit, set of components, rear speakers, amp for the speakers, enclosed 12'' sub, and amp for the sub... unless we are both getting ripped off it doesnt sound too bad at all.

I would say $800 would be ridiculously high. I still think $425 is a little high when you provide the wires. However, you don't really want to skimp on the install. Make sure it's done right the first time.

we would charge you $650. You only get ripped off if the work is bad. If the work is good and you paid extra, remember, you could have had a Honda Accord.
