Diamond Audio TDX
Diamond Audio TDX
Just wondering if anyone has heard this sub in a 10" or 12". If so, how does it compare to an IDMAX. I love my IDMAX but, I am just in the mood for a switch. I tried the Diamond M6 and it was nowhere near the IDMAX. I think the TDX is supposed to be right on with the IDMAX but, I do not have anywhere to hear them.
Thanks Ron and congrats on everything.
Another quick question since you all do a lot of installs with TL's:
I have a Memphis Belle amp which will do 600 @ 2 ohms or 1,100 @ 1. Right now, I have a dual 2 ohm 12" IDMAX wired at 1 ohm. Should I do the same with a TDX 12" or could I get away with a 10". Would 600 watts be enough or should I stick with a dual 2 ohm sub running at 1 ohm and 1,100 watts. I prefer just small sealed enclosure so I do not loose much trunk space.
Thanks again.

1100 watts for the 12" is fine, we have not yet run the 10" that high. In our demo car they are each getting about 700watts. But if you are going with a small sealed enclosure, 600 from the Belle will be fine running to the 10" TDX. I think the 1100 watts will be OK for the 10" also even though it's 800RMS (way underated if you ask me), but in a smaller enclosure you'd be better off with less power.
