Thats the only Pic I can dig up. It's pretty bright for its size. Too bad I didn't have any far away shot. But I did put these on my GF's car and looks bright. I will post up pic on that tonight.
Of course not as bright as the Audi S6 or the Hella DRL LED since they are pretty big.

I spray painted my tint because to match up my car so it was a lil dim but still noticable. But if it wasn't tinted yes it is bright.

Philips Daylite 4

I've got 'em on my Mazda, not the cheapos either....the real deal.

The day I put them on, I noticed people literally "flee" my lane if I come up behind them. They are significantly brighter than my HIDs during the middle of the day. I've got them wired to my parking lights, so when I turn the car on they turn on and when I turn the lights on, they turn off.

Basically you can tap into an ignition wire. Once you start your engine that will trigger the wire and hence, the LED light will come on regardless if your headlamp or parking light on or off.

Oh...the last pic is the comparison of the LED and 55W foglight when both are on during the day. I'll get another night shot on both of them on at the same time.

1st: I think those were just kind people leaving you the high speed lane for you.

2nd: I guess you had a Cheapo HID kit or Headlight Shields cuz theres no way in Hell a set of SMDs would be Brighter than a 3000Lm HID Bulb.

To the OP it has been Done: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-photograph-gallery-99/new-led-driving-lamp-683527/

IMHO HID Fogs as DRLs = FTMFW!

I've got one of the brightest retrofit HID setups on the market and have spent hours researching, experimenting & perfecting the setup.

1) Morimoto 3Five Ballasts
2) Philips 85122+ Bulbs
3) Lexus RX-AFS Projectors w/Optically Clear Lenses

HIDs in your fog housings that weren't meant for it is just asking for trouble, and blinding all of the other drivers on the road. The glare that comes off of them is highly dangerous. Look at your reflector bowls, they are brown and or melting. A nice halogen will perform better in a housing that was R&D'd to perform with one.

All of that being said, in the middle of the day...the LEDs are far brighter and more efficient than my HID setup. Have you ever seen what a 5w LED looks like...let alone 4 of them in a row?

I dont even know why I am explaining this to you, because if you have HIDs in your fogs (& by fogs, I mean the lights on the bumper of your TL that serve no real purpose anyway) or condone doing so, clearly you haven't done your research.

kthxbye.

You say HEAT + GLARE + BROWNISH and you Talk to me about Research...

Our Fog Housing have 0, ZERO, NADA, Non-Existant Glare with the HID Upgrade as they are Glare Shielded from Stock, Even without the Glare Shield they still doesnt have Glare at All.

My 8 Year Old Fog Housing (Original Set got Stolen ) thats being used as DRL with HIDs for like 5 years? might be more:

Do you see Brownish? Heat Discoloration? Obviously No, That would be Odd = Do Your Research.

I wont waste more of my time since you mentioned the Word "HEAT" in the same sentence than "HOUSING" followed by "MELT".
Clearly doing Retrofits doesnt make you an HID Master.

I Still LMAO with the SMD > HID Brightness Thing, You make my Day.

FYI: I have full SMD Interior Upgrade too , And just to Remind you that I have been dealing with HIDs since I bought my TL back in 02.

Credibility ----------------------> Window.

Spend less on HID setups, and more on an education...specifically in English.
