Damaging Speakers?

I have Diamond Audio D361i coaxials in the rear and D361 Components up front, hooked up to an Eclipse XA4000 125RMS x 4 amp. When i first hooked them up i set the crossover at 80, and the up front bass was nowhere near enough, nothing but treble. ( i do have subs, but that doesent matter when youre listening to rock and you MUST have strong up-front mids and bass. ) I brought the crossover down to 55 and the speakers are blowing me away now (i love it). The eclipse amp has a clipping light and it isnt blinking when i turn it up.

But my question is.. Will the crossover being at 50 or 60 hurt my speakers at high volume? The frequency response on them is 54+ but i'm a little worried since i set it all the way down to that. I know i can't give it too much juice because my amp is sending 125RMS to 60RMS speakers, but 60 should be more than enough to ruin my hearing

The clipping light on Eclipse amps is a pre-warning. It's not actually causing damage at that point. If you're speakers are not able to handle the signal you will hear them sounds nasty. If you hear distortion your speakers are being pushed too far.
