Hey guys,

Just wanted to pass this along to show you what I have decided to do in my TL. I am building a 1 cu.ft. box to hold a 12" in the left side of the trunk. I am looking at either the Image Dynamics IDQ12 or the Adire Audio Brahma 12 subwoofers. Decision to be made after I determine whether the box will hold the deep Brahma sub.

Here are some initial picts that show the steps I did to get a mold of the side of the trunk. The initial box fiberglass mat fell down because the spray adhesive wasn't strong enough. The next night I used 3M Super 90 spray adhesive and it held perfectly. I still have to put about two more layers before I can pull it out. The final box will have about 5 or 6 layers probably with a 1" baffle for the subwoofer. I will also build an internal brace and support for the magnet structure of the subwoofer. I will show more pictures as I get them done over the next couple of weeks. Oh yeah, know that fiberglass smells and will take a while to dissipate from the car.

By the way, my wife stayed up until 4am Friday night helping me do the box. Saturday night for the second try she helped me until 2am. She is an awesome woman!
