Custom Enclosure for JL 10W7

Hey guys, I need to get as much info as possible regarding a custom subwoofer enclosure that will go into the spare tire hole. If any one know anything about this or dealt with this, please let me know. And give as much details as possible. Thank you.

You could do fiberglass. You make a fiberglass mold of the spare tire hole, then top it with 3/4" MDF. I'm not really sure how to work with fiberglass, but I don't think its that hard......just time consuming.

Do you you think there is a sound quality difference if use the JL subwoofer box in my trunk versus putting the sub into custom enclosed spare tire hole? I really don't want to fuck with it too much, and custom job like this will run about $600.
