The power supply is built into the case. its that long board to the right of the main fan. its made for 12v car batteries.

What does something like that roughly cost to make? Nothing with a crazy CPU, just something that can handle MP3/DVD.

I actually have a "mini PC"...hmm...how much do those 12v power supplies run and where do you find them?

Nice job! I think using a 2.5" laptop hd might be better and less prone to head crashes due to vibration. I don't think the regular 3.5" hd's are designed to handle as much shock as the laptop hd's.

Correct me if I'm wrong

It can cost you anywhere from $300 up to 700. My setup only ran me about 400 and it runs mp3s and avi just perfect. It can even run winamps milkdrop without a problem. Goto mp3car.com for your answers. They have a store with all your needs. And that power supply runs for about $80.

2.5 harddrives r a waste of money. 3.5 harddrives r cheaper and u get more storage for the money. I have been running a 4 year old 250 gig 3.5 harddrive for over a year and it has never failed on me. Even in dead winter and summers. If shocks worry u, you can always install rubber or gel shocks for it but it is not nessesary.

You could tether it with you 8525 and stream music from the interwebs, watch youtube etc. Unless you have that setup already.

p.s. nice work
