is crutchfield right?
Been looking for front and rear speaker replacements on crutchfield using their guide thing - it seems like there are hardly any speakers that fit - I mean just in the 6.5" category there are only a couple the fit in the rear and a ton that it says don't - Is this just from the mounting depth or what - also - any recommendations for fronts and rears? I'm not looking to spend a ton of money since I am will also be installing a new HU and sub/amp at the same time (and plan on running the speakers just on the HU's built in amp)- just some 2 way speakers that fit would be fine with me - anything is better than the stockers

Not many 6x9s will fit in the rear. I would say just ditch them and put the extra money towards the comps in front. Most comps will fit with a lift ring for the mid. Not too many will fit without a lift ring though.

Crutchfield's recommendations are a safe approach to installing speakers for the average consumer (ie no install exp.)
I equate it with wheel recommendations from places like tire rack and such; to where they will only recommend products that require little to no modification.
