Connection for New HU-Behind OEM HU?

Hi All- I think I know the answer to the question above-but I want be right-on. If I am to by-pass the OEM HU/AMP, to add my new HU (in the storage pocket), I have to unplug the wire bundle from the OEM HU. Which would require removing the whole Console control unit. Anyone do this--and have pics? Or just a gentle pat on the head would suffice to reassure me.

Hey, Hi- Same guy... OK. I've got the Center Control pod disconnected. Green SRS plugs are disconnected. Now, there is a Blue, 20 pin Male plug at the back of the OEM HU--just like the 20 pin to the OEM Amp. And there is on the underside, a White, 14 pin Male connector that is not configured like the Blue, 14 pin connector to the OEM Amp. My best guess/logic tells me the White 14 pin plug is the 'IN' to the OEM HU--and the plug/wires I have to access, and connect, to my aftermarket HU are there... Anybody?
Confirm for me.

I bought a metra wiring harness and plugged it in and wired it to my new HU and it works great. That's in an 02 CL, I'm not sure what you're driving.

I have a harness also for my 05 tsx that fits the 14 pin blue plug, that connects to the OEM Amp- but, I want to by-pass the OEM Amp and OEM HU.
Is the 14 pin plug before the OEM amp, what I want to use to connect? It does have the wires I need.

From pouring over the threads, it appears the White plug on the bottom of the OEM HU is the Aux port. The Blue 20 pin molex, at the back of the OEM HU carries BOTH 'in to the OEM HU' and 'OUT to the OEM amp' (?). What I'm trying to get my brain around, is, the one Blue Molex/plug containing both IN and OUT. I'm trying to understand the Victory Technologies printout of my audio wiring. Obviously, I'm treading gingerly-before I start splicing wires.

What I need, in terms of connections to new HU:

Antenna lead
illumination
Amp turn-on
power lead
Bus power lead
(cell phone lead, maybe)

Again... What powers the OEM HU? Does the OEM amp power the OEM HU? I don't see anything-anywhere explaining where to tap into. We need something definative to follow.

Sounds like you need a scan of the page opposite this one:

I don't completely understand what you're trying to do, but the audio signal goes one way, HU->amp. If maybe the (+), (-) designations are confusing, it's because the HU output is a balanced output, but both signals are sent by the HU, the amp is just a receiver. I fail to see why any of this is a concern though, if you're installing a new HU, why is this of any importance?

Sorry, Sorry... All I need is the location of the wires to tap into for the new HU. I do want to by-pass the oem amp and oem hu. I want them 'dead'. No audio signal passing through to my new HU from the OEM HU. I have that print-out to the posted link. Thanks. I don't want to cut any wires that control any of the SVS controls. The Blue Molex, on the back of the OEM HU appears to have the wires I need to hook-up the new HU.

Plugged it in where? a 14 pin molex/plug? Then, that would make sense. I tend to complicate matters. Thanks, and a Happy Year.
