Connecting Bluetooth to OnStar

I had an 03 CL without nav and installed a pioneer app radio that had a handsfree system with it. Everyone I talked to on the phone said that it sounded like I was in a hole. After my CL was totaled in a rear end collision I found another CL but it is equipped w the nav and offstar. I'd love to change over to the bluestar for handsfree calling without changing the factory look of my vehicle. I am somewhat handy and have installed all of my previous stereos etc in my vehicles but am concerned since the offstar is so complicated, ie the volume control on the stereo controlling volume on onstar etc. have there been any advancements since all these posts have gone down? I appreciate all the insight I've gotten so far from the above posts. Thanks! Klay

Nothing that I've heard of. I recently installed an AppRadio 3. Have the same issue with the speakerphone sounding shitty. I don't know if wiring it to the OnStar would change that at all. Most car speakerphones sound like crap.
