I have always heard that when you put in components like MB Quarts or Diamonds that you need an amp to power them correctly so they will sound good, is that correct?
What do the speakers sound like if you don't power them with an amp?

they don't sound horrible, put the reason you pay so much for MB's or Diamond Audios is cause they're made to be played at higher then normal rms wattage. I had two sets of S600's Diamond Audios and I had a 4 channel Eclipse power amp running them and they sounded BOMB!!! Clear as crystal.... The way I see it, "if your gonna to it, do it right the first time." But that just my opinion.......

yup.......everytime the radio turned on. you run a remote wire from radio to your amp and when the radio turns on, so will the amp. Rockford makes amp kits that have everything you need, to connect an amp from 150-1100 watts. depending on the size of the amp.
