components an 6x9s

Hi all

I am thinking about replacing my bose speakers in my 03 cl. They seem to be getting old.

My question is can i just straight up put in some new aftermarket ones that fit with the stock amp and stock head unit?

And if so will it actually sound better?

I'm getting to this same point. The stock stuff just isn't cutting it for me anymore. Especially after I get out of the girlfriend's Mini Cooper S with the upgraded Harmon Kardon system. So I'm looking into replacing everything, new head unit, amp and speakers. I'd like to do it all at one time, if I can come up with the budget. May have to piece it together though.

Now that these cars are a tad older, doesn't show as too much available. I've always relied on good ol' Crutchfield, and now this site, to see what I can do with my '01 CL.
