So, for two image dynamics subs pushed by 2000 watts rms, what enclosure should i do?

infinite baffle sucks, bandpass would shatter, so just have them sealed facing the trunk?

2000 watts would kill any other enclosure. If you are building it your self, build it heavy, with glue and screws.

Any one else have some input to add?

I'd use 1" thick MDF as opposed to .75".

Nicky is dead on, use 1". There's only a nominal price difference between the 1" and 3/4" also. Just make sure you compensate for the difference in internal volume if you already calculated for 3/4". Make sure you use the Thiele-small parameters in your calculations. Also, I've found that some subs don't like a shallow box regardless of volume. You're gonna want to caulk the hell out of the seems on the inside too.

First of all which ID sub are we talking about? The only one that can hadle 1000w to each speaker is the ID MAX. use a 1.25-1.5 cu ft box for each of them.

Do you have a CL 2nd gen? What Crazy Acura did, and my first install was to create the box, and use a wall to make it look like its part of the trunk. See pics on Crazy Acura's site under his profile. 1000w each for the Max is perfect. I would use a 1.5cu ft box sealed for each one.
