I didn't even know Clarion made a subwoofer 
How much are you looking to spend on a sub and how many watts RMS are you going to send to it?
I would get a different brand sub. Maybe a JL Audio 12" w3v2. There are a lot of better brands out there, then the two you mentioned. I'm sure some of the members have some recomendations also.

al i kno is rockford punch p3 subs are good..
jl are good too but it looks to plain
its 600 for 2 12" rockford p3 500watt rms 1000 peak
you think that is good?
