Cirrius vs XM

I'm planning on getting Cirrius, 'cause I don't want any commercials... anyone know other than the commercials what is the difference between the two? (Cirrius - 100% music, XM - 90% of the channels w/o commercials and a couple with)... I think the extra 3 bucks a month is worth no commercials... Any thoughts on the matter?

I know XM has 70 music channels and 30 news, etc. channels... and Sirius has 60 music and 40 news, etc.

Whats that about re-broadcasted texas stations?

I plan to get XM just because thats what Alpine deals with, and I want something that integrates with my head unit... plus the extra $3 adds up...

xm has a lot better sound quality than sirius.......more manufactuers are supporting it and the majority of stations on xm are either commercial free or only play like 30 seconds worth of ads.........much better than regular radio either way u look at it

Sirius has much better sound quality. Most of the time their signals are pure digital...whereas XM uses repeaters thruout the country...meaning that the signal turns into an analog one.

i'm thinking about xm when i get back to the states. it seems xm is financially better off between the two, plus i see more people with xm than sirius...there's gotta be a reason for that.
