Hello All,

I hope this is the appropriate category for this topic. Does anyone know if there is a way to modify the default voices used in the navigation system? I would guess that they are simply wav files or equivelant on the DVD-ROM somwehre. It would be neat to replace them with different voices or sounds.

Not to sound like a drag on the party, but do you know how many different words are recorded?

You need to make friends with someone at Alpine's OE division, or Microsoft's Windows CE for Automotive division. Very good friends.

 

Yeah, it might be intensive work... but I think you could have some real fun with it if you could modify those files. Do you know if they are stored on the DVD-ROM? or elseware?
