Carputer Intalled

Finished my carputer installation will post pictures this week sometime

PIII 1.1Ghz
256MB SDRAM
Linksys Wireless PCI Card
8 GB HD with running OS
30 GB HD with Music and Divx
ATI Radeon 9200 SE Grapics card with s-video out
ATI All-In-Wonder RF Remote

looks good i see you are enjoying mediaengine.

I heard there is another program called something like media car or whatever that is supposed to be good. I'll see if i can find a link.

Do you like MediaEngine?

Interesting you did this and have no nav. You did a gread job withe eh size of the screen. Seems like it is stick and looks great. Congrats. What are your added functions now that you would not have gotten with nav? Any problems as of yet?

I think if I were to go for a carpc I would go the Linux root: http://www.dashpc.com/

Not for the geekiness of running linux, just because I think it's a better solution than windows for this kind of job.

Will the "center-one-piece-cover" thing from the 2004 Accord fit? I want install an LCD like you did but want to cover it up when it is not in use.

no the center one piece will not work from the accord. the top of it has a triangular cut out so it will not fit in the space i also wish i had a cover for it. my idea I have currently is to make a door that has a rail on each side kinda like a garage door.
