Im looking for a stand alone dvd player for my TL. Anybody have any experiences with one. I like the sony but it was about 500.00 Im not opposed to paying for a high end one if its performance justifies it but it is in a car. Thanks for your time annd help.

I am a big fan of the Eclipse mini-DVD (4101?) but it does not play MP3s...

The transport is Panasonic, so it's very mechanically reliable.

DVDs have become commoditized though, and if you're not worried about the CD audio output quality you can get some really cheap ones that work OK. Most of the Chinese ones have relatively poor CD sound quality in my experience...

 

i have the Directed DVD player.. custom mounted in my glove box... i dont have pics buts its a good DVD player... plays MP3's, CD's, DVD's of course

i picked it up from a electronics store and paid about 165$ for it... its really good i would recommend it.. comes with a nice remote and remote eye and all necessary wires...
