I was installing LEDs in my car and the driver's light just doesn't turn on when the door is opened. The cabin light doesn't turn on either. All 3 other doors work is able to turn on the cabin light.

Does anyone know what could be a broken? A fuse or the harness? The little black switch thing? I noticed it was broken a long time ago, I thought it was a burnt bulb but it wasn't.

Btw, does anyone know how to make LEDs less bright? These LEDs that I bought from V-LEDs are too bright, especially the cabin light. They look good though.

 

Try flipping the bulbs around, they're polarized and are probably in backwards

As for being too bright, there's some things you can do, but you're kind of defeating the purpose

 

I did flip the LED bulb around and it didn't work. I have used a working non-LED bulb and the same thing happened.

 

did you check to see if the fuse for the light is blown?

sometimes that can happen...it happened with the legend i had

 

If it works on all the other doors than it the little black switch thing as you call it,

does the light go on when you put it on the on position?
