Burned CD's in stock system
Anyone know if there is a way to play burned CD's in the stock 2001 Bose system? Is there another type of CD I can use, I am really trying to avoid buying a new head unit.
Thanks,
Mike

I read here somewhere that someone claimed to have better success with certain brands of CDRs. I think it's probably true, because some of my CDRs played fine, and others didn't play at all. See if you can search for the post that I read a while back to see what brands he liked.

CDR's
Unfortunately, your head unit is incapable of reading CDR's. Only the 02 TL's and up have the capability. The only chance you might have is using a CDRW. Some non CDR units read them because of the type of metal they use. BE FOREWARNED! It could damage you laser making it work harder than normal. Play it safe and buy a new head unit with MP3 and XM capability. I recommend a Pioneer head unit. They are very reliable and they sound better than most head units. Good luck!
