Bump bump bump...
Hey guys,
I added an aftermarket amp and sub to my stereo and spliced a pair of RCA cables into the Sub out on my rear deck to my new amp. When I turned on the car, it blew my stereo's fuse. I disconnected the RCA cable and hooked up the original sub again and now all i get is a repeated bump bump bump bump... It doesn't even pickup the bass from the music. Have any of you ever had this issue? I've read that people have done the same thing I did above without issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Yeah because of the stock headunit you will need a LOC otherwise you would blow the fuse like you did. Since the stock HU sends out high frequencies you need to convert it to low frequencies that your amp can handle

That's the thing. I used to have a LOC on it b4, but then I thought "Hmm... I know how I can save a buck!" That's when I decided to replace the LOC with the RCA's. But now I get the bumping whether I hookup the LOC to my new amp, or just reconnect the factory sub...
