Just-purchased 2006 TL w/Nav (AT). Phone setup menu is sluggish to respond to commands but eventually gets to "pair with phone" stage but is (repeatedly) unsuccessful. Phone is late-2010 era HTC Incredible II which pairs with everything else I throw at it. Testing with an iPhone 3GS and an Incredible I is pending but the sluggish response makes me suspect an underlying problem anyway.
Has anyone else had similar issues?
Is there a firmware update? (which would not be too out-of-the-norm)

It could be your Bluetooth version of your Android Smartphone. The older versions have Bluetooth v2.1+ EDR whereas the newer ones have v3 and the newest like my Sprint's HTC Evo 4G LTE featured BT v4.0.

Make sure your phone's bluetooth is on, that your phone is set to "discover" for however the length of time, and the 4-digit pairing code/pin is correct. If it still doesn't work, restart your smartphone with bluetooth on. Then restart your car as well.

Otherwise, you might even want to search Amazon.com for a bluetooth adapter to connect to your car's NAV/DVD Radio USB port to sync your Android smartphone with your 2006 Acura TL, if there's any. NAV may need updates.
